The Michelle Bressler Scholarship
OWLA is delighted to offer one full scholarship each IBLCE exam/recertification cycle.
The Michelle Bressler scholarship will cover the testing or recertification fee for one candidate sitting for the Lactation Consultant Board Exam in Spring and Fall of each year.

Criteria for Consideration:

Applicant currently resides in Oregon or SW Washington

Can demonstrate financial need

Applicant has current OWLA membership

Applicant has been an OWLA member for 6+ months and has attended 2+ events in the previous 12 months

Will fully meet requirements to sit for IBLCE exam (1st time or recertification)

Complete and submit scholarship application by deadline

Priority consideration may be given to active OWLA members who are BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+, as well as those who plan to assist families with limited access to lactation services.
This scholarship is named in honor of Michelle Bressler, IBCLC who spent her three decade career supporting and teaching numerous families, mentoring student IBCLCs through PSU's Human Lactation program, and was a founding member of OWLA.
