Cameron
I am a mom of three that just finished her pathway two journey to become an IBCLC! I’m excited for all the moms I’ll be able to help as a lactation professional and can’t wait to start reshaping the world to be more supportive of families and chestfeeding. I love dancing and have enjoyed the last three years of my work with WIC as a peer counselor for breastfeeding moms.
My bachelor’s of science was in community health education and I have served on the board for Linn Benton Lincoln’s Breastfeeding Coalition for the past two years as well. I love connecting with the lactation community to learn from each other and support one another as we find ways we can help our community and give back.
Chelsea
Pope
Chelsea is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), licensed in Oregon. Chelsea is originally from the east coast and moved to Portland in 2010 just before her first child was born. At that time, Chelsea was studying to be a registered dietician, driven by her passion for health and wellness. After becoming a mother herself, Chelsea soon realized her true calling was to offer lactation and infant feeding support to other parents during a time that can be both joyous and challenging.
Chelsea began gaining experience as a breastfeeding peer counselor with Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon and has been providing lactation support to new and growing families since 2013. Chelsea went on to earn a degree in human lactation from Birthingway College of Midwifery and has now been a practicing IBCLC for 8 years. Chelsea started Bliss Lactation in 2016 and has built a thriving practice centered in promoting great outcomes based on compassionate, relationship-based care.
Lisa
Gonzales
I am a registered nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Prior to becoming a lactation consultant, I was a high risk labor & delivery and postpartum nurse for 9 years. After the birth of my first baby, I experienced breastfeeding difficulties, shifted my career focus to families with feeding issues, and became an IBCLC.
Through many classes and conferences, I have developed a specialty in oral restrictions, or tongue ties. Since 2020 I have presented for lactation students in the Lactation Education program at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health on how tongue tie impacts infant feeding. In 2023 I became a permanent part of the OHSU-PSU team where I co-teach aspiring IBCLCs in all aspects of lactation and infant feeding.
I support and advocate for all babies and parents with feeding and latching concerns, whether they are providing human milk or not. I aim to guide each family towards their unique feeding goals via a holistic approach, looking at the whole family, not just the latch.
