Supported by up-to-date literature, this presentation outlines the clinical safety and effectiveness of manual therapy for the dyad. Objectives: 1: Identify specific musculoskeletal problems in the maternal-infant dyad using validated clinical assessment tools, history, and examination findings.
Analyze the impact of manual therapies on breastfeeding outcomes, specifically evaluating changes in latch, positioning, and overall infant mobility.
Determine clear indications for co-management or specialist referral based on specific clinical red flags and assessment results.
Develop evidence-based case management strategies for the dyad that integrate manual therapy techniques.
Evaluate the safety, clinical effectiveness, and risk-benefit ratio of manual therapy interventions for both parent and infant.
